Frequently Asked Questions
Cost and access
AlitIMG stays free for every tool. No account ever stands between you and a result.
Where processing happens
Every tool runs inside your own browser. Files travel from your device to the tool and back, never further.
Limits, in plain numbers
Every tool caps a file at 20 MB. Batch tools handle up to 10 files. Single image tools handle one at a time.
Formats, models and connectivity
Some tools load extra data once, like an AI model or a codec, both served from AlitIMG's own server. That first load needs a connection; your images never do. No request here ever reaches a third party.
FAQ
Is AlitIMG free to use?
Yes, every tool in AlitIMG is free. There is no paid tier and no trial limit. You can use every tool as often as you like.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is ever required. Open any tool and start working right away. AlitIMG never asks for a login or an email address.
Where do my files go?
Your files never leave your device. Every tool processes the image inside your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so we never see or store it.
What are the file and batch limits?
Every file caps at 20 MB, across all six tools. Compress, Resize and Convert accept up to 10 files per batch. Remove BG, Enhance and Crop handle one image at a time.
Why does Remove BG download a model the first time?
Remove BG runs an AI model called BiRefNet right in your browser. Standard quality downloads about 95 MB once. High quality needs WebGPU and downloads about 110 MB once. Either model is cached, so later visits skip the download.
Does AlitIMG work without an internet connection?
Not on the very first visit. Loading the page needs a connection, but every font, codec and AI model ships from AlitIMG's own server, never a third party. Your images never travel over that connection.
What does converting an image to SVG actually do?
It wraps your raster image inside an SVG container at full resolution. It does not trace the image into vector paths. The file becomes an SVG wrapper, not a true vector drawing.
